Applicants should carry original Class 10 mark sheets, identity proof, caste certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, and other required documents during verification. Candidates must also have knowledge of the local language of the postal circle where they applied.

India Post has clearly mentioned that failure to complete document verification on time may lead to cancellation of candidature. Since there is no waiting list system, fresh merit lists are released to fill vacant posts left by absent or disqualified candidates.

GDS Selection Process Remains Merit-Based

The India Post GDS recruitment process remains one of the few government recruitments without any written exam or interview. The merit list is prepared automatically using Class 10 marks converted into percentage up to four decimal places. Because of this, competition remains very high every year.

Candidates who narrowly missed selection in the first and second rounds still have a strong chance in the upcoming list. Experts advise students to regularly check official updates and keep all documents ready to avoid last-minute problems.
